Discover Verviers, the water capital of Wallonia. Located at the heart of the "Blue Ardennes" the town was once an important wool-spinning and weaving centre. Now its industrial buildings have had a facelift and you are invited to visit! To make your stay extra special, we have included a gourmet trail along the River Vesdre. You will travel to a different restaurant for each course of your meal, with full route notes and commentary. The meal will include local specialties, and at the same time you can admire Verviers' beautiful heritage. Your tasting trail will end at a famous chocolatier's. To complete your break, add a visit to one of Verviers' museums: the Fashion and Wool Centre or the Water Centre, or stop off at Spa or Liège, which are only a short drive away!

Where do I sleep?
In a double room at a Bed & Breakfast (4 ears-of-corn rated) located above Verviers, in a former townhouse built in 1884, that used to be known as the "Angel House" because of the sculpture on its facade. Now it has been comprehensively restored and converted into a contemporary art gallery and a Bed & Breakfast. The house has been decorated with care and has many works of art hanging on its walls. If you fall in love with any of the paintings or sculptures, or even the furniture, don't worry, they are all for sale!

Situated in Bonvoisin's former textile factory, the last existing proto-factory, the information centre of water presents itself interactive and dynamic. TOURIST WOOL AND FASHION CENTRE (VERVIERS)

Centre where you see the different stages of development of the production of wool "from yarn to fashion". Through a three-dimensional and an audio-visual display the visitors take part in the life and atmosphere of the wool industry. Strip cartoons and costumes also punctuate the history of fashion.
